Red Straw Storage
Many aerosol products have a red straw to focus the spray on a small area. Some have a notch in the cap to store the straw. These notched caps can be saved and used on almost any other spray can.
Another option is to glue short pieces of vacuum line to the side of the can. I sealed the bottom of the lower vacuum hose to keep the straw from falling through.

I wish more aerosol can manufacturers would come up with a solution like the new WD-40 cans that have the collapsible, but permanently attached straw.
It is much handier and is an improvement.
A couple of years ago I was on an off-roading trip in Utah and I bought a can of WD-40 with the “smart straw”. Genius! The straw won’t get lost in my toolbox anymore.
Back home in Canada, once I had used up that can, I was disappointed that I couldn’t find the WD-40 with that style of top, only the old-school type. So, every time I emptied my WD-40, I pried off the “smart straw” top, and snapped it onto the new can. I think I’ve recycled that nozzle about 2-3 times now.
Lately I’ve noticed they have finally seen fit to distribute the new style WD-40 cans in Canada. I costs about $1 more than the regular cans (for the same size), so I’ll just keep re-using the old top and save a buck. But I wish they’d sell those nozzles seperately — I’d put them on all my cans of aerosol lubricants. So handy!
I use an elastic around the can.
